Twenty people were killed in clashes between Shi'ite rebels since Sunday and the northern tribes of Yemen.
"Violent clashes took place in the night [Wednesday-Thursday, July 22], leaving 20 dead" in total, a tribal source said. Yemeni forces deployed in the region have intervened to stop the fighting, according to this source.

The armed clashes in north Yemen, where a fragile truce is in force since February, have intensified between the rebels and Shiite tribes backed by the army, killing more than 60 lives since Sunday.
REGAIN VOLTAGE
The armed incidents, often involving the rebels and tribes, are common in this area, where the authorities and the rebels accuse each other of violating the cease-fire in force since February after six months of war between the rebels and the army. The cease-fire has ended the "Sixth War" between the rebels, who denounce political marginalization, social and religious, and the army in a conflict that since 2004 several thousand dead and 250,000 displaced .
Wednesday, a tribal source had reported the deaths of 20 tribals in the ongoing fighting since Sunday "between Houthi and supporters of tribal leader Sheikh Saghir Aziz, a deputy member of the General People's Congress ( power).
A spokesman for the rebels had indicated to him that she had lost at least 20 of its members in clashes. This raises fears of renewed tension triggering a seventh war in this region of northern Yemen, a country also faces a separatist movement in the South and an increased presence of Al Qaeda.
